Worden & McLean Testify at NYS Senate Hearing

March 11, 2015 – Rob Worden and Sarah McLean, the Institute’s director and associate director, provided invited testimony at the New York State Senate Joint Committee Hearing on Police Safety and Public Protection. They highlighted the importance of police legitimacy and the likely benefits of State support for: (1) the implementation of community policing that is true to the strategic nature of community policing; (2) the establishment of police “auditors”; and (3) police training and research on the effectiveness of training.
